Today, Tyler and I took a walk on Kidd Creek below our new hOMe land to celebrate that we have been together as a couple for half our lives…Going on 25 years this coming July! Crazy cool…

Finding old fencing, hogwire, and an empty spool of Sears Electric Fence Wire.

Met brother-in-law Dan at 8am. Chainsaw, poison oak eradication, moving heavy stuff. Took a walk up Kidd Creek.

Removed barbed wire, lopped branches, bushwhacked.

Decades-old fencing. A gate through a fairy ring. Paths unearthed as sun streams through the forest late Sunday afternoon.

Headed to the land this morning. Sun streaming into the forest from the east. Bushwhacked south of the Lower Gully.

Wind in the trees. More path revealed. Traversed Lower Gully.

Opening up long forgotten trails, covered by decades of decomposing forest.

Much of our land is quite rugged, carrying the tell-tale evidence of logging: jagged stumps, trunks, limbs, branches.
